Disconcerting violence among old Awakening members, Iraqi army and US forces

The new violence among old Awakening members, Shii Iraq military, and the US forces is disconcerting.

Maliki needs to take the lead and fully, comprehensively welcome the Awakening members into the Iraqi government forces, thus (hopefully) taking away the Sunni desire to form private militias. It is also important on a larger scale as a symbolic move away from the recent sectarianism.
